I've also been keeping up with Yellowjackets and find it interesting in that while it has the shape of current television trends in its shorter seasons, there are aspects of 2000s network tv. This comes through in its Lost influence on the structure and pitch of melodrama in the show. The trajectory of planning to go longer than the respectable 3-4 season run that is in favor right now, especially considering the concept seems to have a limited shelf time, I wonder if this is a sign of a trend back towards old television traditions, or if its an outlier and maybe self conscious in its model.
